In honor and recognition of two of my favorite musicians celebrating their respective birthdays today; Josh Homme and Trent Reznor…
Let’s talk about Queens of the Stone Age. More specifically their new album, … Like Clockwork, which is coming out on June 4th.
As a countdown to the album release, the band has released a series of videos, each one telling the story of some grim character, and each story linked to the one that comes before it. Not only are the songs absolutely gorgeous to listen to, but the animations are interesting (though they’re a bit violent, if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing.)
Please, please give these videos a listen/watch. QotSA is my favorite band for a reason. They’re absolutely fucking brilliant, and this new album was well worth the wait. I promise. Even if this sort of rock music isn’t your thing, at least try listening to one or two, and reblog this to spread the word. This band is amazing.
